Came into the salon today, same one I’ve frequented anytime I get my nails professional done.. I attached the reference photo to what I asked for vs what I ended up with. Usually I love the ladies here at the salon, but ended up with a lady I hadn’t gotten my nails done by before, I was skeptical but didn’t want to cause issues as I needed my nails done. First issue: length, I made a comment saying that the length of my nails before she finished cutting, wasn’t like the photo, and keep in mind I also said I’d like my nails as close to the reference as possible. Right down to nearly the same color, which the colors are great! Length is not.. when I said this, my lady ( whom I did not catch the name of) said that they were the length in the photo.. I said um.. I don’t think so?? She cut another one to see what I believe was her idea of the length to the photo.. the length she cut was wayyy over what l was thinking the length was, so I was like ok whatever if you think that’s the length I’ll trust you and see how it looks. ( it was no where near the length of the photos..) Second issue was; filling in blanks, I said I noticed my thumb wasn’t properly filled in at the cuticles with the acrylic powder. She straight up told me No, it’s fine. And moved on before I could further say anything. Third issue; my nails have absolutely no apex (they’re basically flat nails) Atleast most of them. Some nails have a bit of an apex but others do not. I also added a photo to prove no apex. A note to add is I do have several friends / myself to our own nails, including gel extensions and acrylic. I say this so that people are aware, I know my terminology and that nails should have an apex. One last note; I’ve never had my finger knuckles cracked at a nail salon.. unexpectedly, without asking if I wanted them cracked. She started cracking them while applying lotion at the end of my session. Which hurt. I don’t typically like to speak to people a lot in person so that is why I am posting this review. Regardless, my nails look nice, but they aren’t exactly what I asked for. The lady I had was nice, but I didn’t appreciate being cut off, told I’m wrong about how they look and then got a sort of aggressive hand massive at the end. Oh and had to pay a whomping $85, normally I don’t mind paying that much especially because it was discussed based on the design before hand. But I didn’t even get what I asked for, besides the nail color.
